The U.S Embassy would like to request that any American citizens who wish to be evacuated should come to the U.S. Embassy immediately.  If you have any questions, please call the U.S. Embassy immediately.

American citizens are urged to register with the Embassy at http://ndjamena.usembassy.gov.    For updated information on travel and security in the region, go to http://travel.state.gov.  The U.S. Embassy is located in N’Djamena on Avenue Felix Eboue: mailing address is B.P. 413, tel: 251-7009.  For emergencies after regular hours or on holidays, please call the Marine guard at 251-4299.

For the latest security information, Americans living and traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs Internet web site at http://travel.state.gov, where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Alerts, Travel Warnings, and health-information resources can be found.  Up-to-date information on security can also be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the U.S., or, for callers outside the U.S. and Canada, a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444.  These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays). This number may also be used after hours and for emergencies.  The U.S. Embassy in the CAR is located at Avenue David Dacko, B.P. 924, Bangui, and can be reached at tel.
