Evacuation Order

U.S. Embassy N'Djamena

The U.S. Embassy has decided to evacuate Embassy dependents and selected employees from N'Djamena. The U.S. Embassy requests that any American citizen who wishes to be evacuated should call the embassy now at 251-4299.

American citizens who decide to remain in N'Djamena should closely monitor news media and the U.S. Embassy's website: http://ndjamena.usembassy.gov/warden_messages.html. American citizens in Chad are urged to keep family and friends in the U.S. apprised of their whereabouts.

The U.S. Embassy is located in N'Djamena on Avenue Felix Eboue, tel: 251-7009. For emergencies after regular hours or on holidays, please call the Marine guard at 251-4299.

American citizens may also obtain up-to-date information on security conditions at http://travel.state.gov or by  calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the United States and Canada, or 1-202-501-4444 from overseas.
