U.S. Ambassador Visits Hospitals in Massaguet and Massakory

American Ambassador Mark Boulware traveled out of N’Djamena on Friday, August 31, to meet with Chadian government and health officials in Massaguet, Bir Barka, and Massakory.   Following calls on Governor Djidda Moussa Outmane of the Hadjer Lamis Region and Mr. Hamid Guerdi, Prefet of the Harze al Biar Department, the ambassador visited two local hospitals and a rural medical clinic that have received financial and/or material support from the U.S. government.   At the recently completed Massaguet Hospital, he met with patients and was briefed on the hospital’s nutritional stabilization programs for infants and sick children.  The ambassador presented the hospital’s director with a small donation of American medical text books and public health guides, superbly translated into French and printed by the ARS-Paris Nouveaux Horizons publishing house, to help  him and his staff in their good work.
