How to Do Business in the United States

The American Embassy’s Economic Section and the Chadian Agency for Investment and Exports (ANIE) joined forces to organize a one day seminar for Chadian entrepreneurs on how to do business in the United States.  Held at the Meridian Hotel September 12, more than 60 businessmen and women listened to presentations by a representative from the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) trade hub in Accra, two Cameroonian entrepreneurs who have successfully entered the American market (Mme. Caroline Sack Kendem and Mme. Roline Ndoumbe), ANIE officials, N’Djamena bankers and US Embassy diplomats.  American Ambassador Mark Boulware and Chadian Minister of Commerce Mahamat Allahou Taher opened the seminar, with both stressing the mutual benefits to be gained from increased trade and commerce between Chad and the US.
