Non-Immigrant Visas
International visitors add greatly to the U.S. cultural, educational and economic life. We are proud of our tradition of welcoming visitors, with secure borders and open doors. Nationals of most countries, including Chad, must have a visa to travel to the U.S. The most common types of visa are Business/Tourist Visas and Student Visas. The type of visa needed is defined by immigration law and is determined by your purpose of travel. The consular officer will confirm which type of visa you need when you apply.
Interviewing hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Applicants are required to present all supporting documentation at the time of their interview. Invitation letters and other statements of support are not accepted by email and will not receive a reply. The answers to most inquiries may be found on our website: http://ndjamena.usembassy.gov/
All visas requests must be submitted on-line. Full instructions on the visa application process and scheduling an appointment are found at http://ndjamena.usembassy.gov/how_to_apply.html.
Immigrant Visas
The U.S. Embassy in N'Djamena does not process Immigrant Visas. Chadian citizens who are interested in applying for an Immigrant Visas should direct all inquiries and correspondence to the U.S. Embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon.
