The Embassy encourages all U.S. citizens residing in or visiting Chad to register with the Embassy’s Consular Section. Forms are available at the Embassy, and all registrants must bring their passport.
We invite you to register yourself and your family and get acquainted with travel registration. If you are already registered with U.S. Embassy N'Djamena, please re-register on line to update your records.
While registration is not required, it is strongly recommended. Registration provides the Embassy with an effective means of documenting your citizenship and locating U.S. citizens living in or traveling in Chad in case of emergency. Registration forms have also proven useful in verifying U.S. citizenship after the lost or theft of a passport, or during emergency circumstances when identification is not readily available.
The U.S. Privacy Act prevents the Embassy from giving out registration information without the express consent of registrants.
