The American Library, name given to the IRC in Chad, is the research and reference service of the U.S. Embassy. Our mission is to provide comprehensive and reliable information on all aspects of the United States. This includes our foreign policy, economy, history, culture, society and values to the people of Chad.

Chadians with a serious research interest about the United States may become members of the American Library. Current membership includes government officials , academics, journalists, representatives of private NGOs and organizations, students, and members of the diplomatic community. Minimum age is 14 years. Membership is free of charge
